CHERRY NUT LOAF

Makes One Loaf

1 small bottle Marashino cherries (drained) 1 small bottle
2/3 - 3/4 cup Milk 150 - 175 mL
1 cup Brown sugar 250 mL
1 tbsp Butter 15 mL
2 Eggs 2
2 cups All purpose flour 500 mL
2 tsp Baking powder 10 mL
1/2 tsp Salt 2 mL
1/2 cup Walnuts (chopped) 125 mL


Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C]).

Save the juice and add enough milk to make 1 cup.

Cream sugar, butter and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and cherry juice. Fold in nuts and cherries. Bake in loaf pan for 1 hour. Freezes well
