Add a little variety to plain old green beans.

3 to 4 stalks Celery thinly cut diagonally 3 to 4 stalks
As required Green Beans As required
1/2 Small onion 1/2
1/4 cup Slivered almonds 50 mL

Parboil beans 3 minutes. Rinse under cold water, cut into 3 inch [7-1/2 cm] lengths.

Sauté onion and celery in butter until crispy tender. Add beans, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

In a small frying pan, melt a bit of butter, add almonds and sauté until golden brown, stirring continuously. Add to beans and serve.
