This easy to make sauce is super on an omelet or drizzled over vegetables.
Makes about 2/3 cup [150 mL]

2 tsp Butter 10 mL
2 tsp Flour 10 mL
pinch Each of salt, pepper, dry mustard and garlic powder. pinch
1/2 cup Milk 125 mL
1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar cheese 50 mL

Melt butter in a 2-cup (500 mL) glass measure on High for 20 to 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, salt, pepper, dry mustard and garlic grandular or garlic powder. Microwave for 20 seconds. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth, Microwave on High, uncovered, for about 2 min. or until thickened, stirring carefully 2 or 3 times. Add shredded Cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Serve immediately, or cover surface with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Reheat gently at serving time.
