This recipe comes from an Italian chef we had at our golf club. For lovers of catalina dressing, this is the best.

4 tbsp Tomato soup 75 mL
2 tbsp Sugar 25 mL
3-1/2 oz Red wine vinegar 88 g
2 Cloves garlic, minced 2
1/4 tsp Salt and pepper 1 mL
1 tsp Paprika 5 mL
2 tsp Dijon mustard 10 mL
1 cup Oil 250 mL
2 tbsp Shallots, very finely chopped 25 mL

Combine all the ingredients in a jar or your favorite salad dressing bottle, shake very well and refrigerate. Shake again each time you use it. Makes about 1-1/2 cups [375 mL].
