CHERRY NUT LOAF |

1 small bottle | Marashino cherries (drained) | 1 small bottle |
2/3 - 3/4 cup | Milk | 150 - 175 mL |
1 cup | Brown sugar | 250 mL |
1 tbsp | Butter | 15 mL |
2 | Eggs | 2 |
2 cups | All purpose flour | 500 mL |
2 tsp | Baking powder | 10 mL |
1/2 tsp | Salt | 2 mL |
1/2 cup | Walnuts (chopped) | 125 mL |

Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C]). Save the juice and add enough milk to make 1 cup. Cream sugar, butter and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and cherry juice. Fold in nuts and cherries. Bake in loaf pan for 1 hour. Freezes well |
